For the application of CFD on Aortic Disease, Dr. Ong explained the background introduction on why it is urgent to do this research. Most people do not know they have an aneurysm until it is life-threatening. Over 60% of those with ruptured aneurysm will die. Therefore, this reason became the biggest motivation for Dr. Ong and his team to research the prevention of aortic aneurysms.
In conclusion, our comprehensive exploration of Aortic Disease and Computational Fluid Dynamics has provided an understanding of the intersection of engineering and biomedical. The active and insightful participation from both students and lecturers has enhanced our lecture. As we investigate deeper into this interdisciplinary field, it is evident that collaborative efforts are essential for advancing our knowledge and developing innovative solutions. We extend our gratitude to all participants for their valuable contributions.
As the guest lecture neared its end, all attendees and the guest lecturer convened for a commemorative photo. In summary, the conclusion of this lecture was favorable and predicts future engagements.
