SU Signed MoU with Pesisir Selatan Regency Government

Pesisir Selatan Regency Government officially started a partnership in education with Sampoerna University. On September 12^th 2019 at Sampoerna University, an agreement was signed by Regent of Pesisir Selatan Regency Hendrajoni and Rector of Sampoerna University Dr. Wahdi Salasi Yudhi to mark the partnership between both entities. Regent Hendrajoni stated that his administration is determined to make progress in education sector. This is done to enable youths in Pesisir Selatan to compete at a world level. Also, he sees that some youths study abroad but refuse to come back. “After they graduate, they decide to work abroad. But thanks to Sampoerna University, we can help them study in Indonesia and then after they graduate, they can work in their homeland. That's what we also want,” said Hendrajoni. There are three students from Regency of Pesisir Selatan studying currently at Sampoerna University. They are Fauzan Azima (2018 Intake, Mechanical Engineering), Filinia Gusti (2018 Intake, Industrial Engineering), and Andre Aulia Rahmat (2019 Intake, Mathematics Education). On the same occasion, Rector of Sampoerna University thanked the regent for trusting the institution. “Sampoerna University is ready to equip these students with the best quality, world-class education. We also hope that the students from Pesisir Selatan can also be work-ready and world-ready after graduation,” said the rector.
